Digital Cameras 14mp: The Pros and Cons of Having Big Megapixels
Does it really mean having a bigger pixel size, like digital cameras 14mp resolution, is the best option? Or having a lesser pixel count would be also a good choice? There are advantages and disadvantages when choosing a bigger or smaller pixel count depending on what you wanted with the camera you are going to buy.
The things you should consider if you are going to buy a camera with bigger pixels are the following:
1. If you’re looking for a camera that will give you sharp images even in far distance then choose the ones higher pixel count. The more pixels per square area of the photo the more vivid it gets.

For you guys who are still beginning to learn about photography the first thing that you need to practice with is this three basic features, aperture, ISO and shutter speed, provided that you own a legitimate SLR. But for now let us get to know the aperture first what is it and how does it work? Let’s find out…
The aperture is mainly the window of your lens. What the aperture does is adjust the opening of your lens either wider or narrower depending on the settings you choose from. The smaller the “f” value is the wider the opening gets. Like for example f/2 is the standard maximum aperture of most professional cameras for photography but there are even more SLR that offer as far as 2.8 or so. Before we touch on the numerical value let us first address this question…
Why is it important to vary the opening of the lens?
Let say for example you are taking pictures in an art exhibit and the room is quite dark. When set the aperture to give a smaller opening there wouldn’t be enough light getting through and hence, the result is an under exposed photo. So if you widen the opening you get more lights and the result is a great picture.
Now the next step is learning the relationship between the numerical value you see on the screen and the opening of your aperture or lens. It’s quite simple the bigger the numerical value is the smaller the opening becomes. By adjusting the f value you can either blur the background of your subject or you can increase the sharpness of the entire picture. Nikon D5100 and most Digital SLR camera’s f value ranges more or less than f/32 and f/2 or lesser values.
Also with whatever professional camera for photography you are using make sure you set the AF-S (auto focus single) mode and not the AF-A (auto focus auto) if you are trying to focus a single subject, but if you are not or if you wish to do it in auto mode then the camera will focus any area of the photo randomly.
So now that you are a bit more knowledgeable with how aperture works its time that you should experiment on your own. If only there’s an actual formula I would be glad to share it with you, but there isn’t so you’re on your own with that.

Nikon D5100 One of The Best Professional Cameras for Photography
I use to have the Nikon D90 during the first years of my photography career. This is one of the professional cameras for photography that I owned since I decided to start taking pictures. A few months ago I thought that I’m ready to take it to the next level.
So weeks Later I decided to take the Nikon D5100 16.2MP CMOS Digital SLR Camera with 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 AF-S DX VR Nikkor Zoom Lens in Amazon. It was a great deal. Although it wasn’t the latest but for specs and the price I figured it’s a great deal, so I grab the brand new ones. Why I said so because an 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 AF-S DX VR Nikkor Zoom Lens would cost at least $250 + the actual cost of the camera could sum up to at least a thousand bucks.
The one thing I like about Nikon cameras is their user friendly menu. And the Nikon D5100 is one of the professional cameras for photography that has an easy to use menu, I would recommend this even for the novice and for those enthusiast who are starting a career in photography.
The settings are displayed on the side areas of the 3 inches wide LCD screen, really are convenient and are a no brainer for starters. The 12.3 megapixels sensors of my D90 are out classed with the 16.2 MP sensors of My Nikon D5100.
I took some pictures of my mom’s backyard garden and I focused this heirloom tomato fruit, I was so amazed that the actual image and the shot I took are very similar. Wow! I couldn’t ask for anything more with the quality of the photos.
If you have the money I would suggest professional cameras for photography like the Nikon D7000 or if you are still in the learning process like me, the D5100 or the D3100 is a great choice too. But remember always read reviews like this to help you properly decide one what you want to buy. I for one did take some bad deals in the past and telling you again wouldn’t hurt.
