Best Photography Camera Tips: What You Need to Know About Macro Photography

Are you interested about macro photography? Well then you might want to know the things I know about macro photography. Although I have not touch so much about the subject but for the sake of sharing information with you, especially for those who are still learning photography, I have collected enough data and here are some of the facts I have learned.

Generally you need to have the best photography camera to do macro photography. You need to have decent SLR camera and the more advance the specs of your camera the better. Then the next thing you’ll gonna need is a macro lens.

But of course buying another lens means another investment. For practicing purposes, I would suggest that you grab an extension instead. Its way cheaper and works just fine to give you the depth of field you wanted. You can have 1 for about $40 and a set for around $130-$150.

What is an extension and what does it do?

It is a hollow tube that you connect to your lens and to your cameras body. Depending on the camera like if you have a Nikon d3 camera then you should have a compatible extension for it.  The idea of having an extension is to push further away your lens from the body of the camera and making it closer the object you are going to take photos with. This way you are given more depth of field and so clearer shots are produced.
What is the best setting of the Aperture and the shutter speed when take shots of tiny object?

You need at least an aperture setting of f9-f11 but you can go as far as f45 if you think it will give you a lot sharper image. No rules will apply and it all depends on your experience, so I would strongly suggest you do a lot of experimenting using the best photography camera you can have. With the shutter speed, you can slow it down up to 3 seconds to collect as much light, but if you feel like using a flash will work then do so, but make sure you increase the shutter speed.

For first timers, if you’re setting a slower shutter speed you are going to need a tripod. Why because at slower shutter speed slight movement will cause motion in your photos. I hope this gave you additional information about macro photography.
